Bobby Smith, Jr. is a Screenwriter and Producer who has worked extensively with Oprah Winfrey, Quincy Jones, Norman Jewison, Ang Lee, Spike Lee, Ivan Reitman, and many others.

Bobby Smith, Jr. has written several motion pictures for major motion picture studios, and many television movies and television series. These include JASON’S LYRIC, starring Jada Pinkett Smith, THERE ARE NO CHILDREN HERE, starring Oprah Winfrey, and THEIR EYES WERE WATCHING GOD, starring Halle Berry.

He is currently writing INNER CITY SYMPHONY for Disney +, and BURST for ACJ Film Funds. He has also recently launched a film and television venture with New York Times Bestselling author Brenda Jackson which will focus on bringing Black Romance novels to the screens, some of hers and other authors as well.

Mr. Smith currently serves as President/CEO of Ashore Entertainment a feature film, television, and digital media company dedicated to compelling and purpose driven storytelling and specializing in brand leveraging.

Mr. Smith graduated Vassar College cum laude with a major in African American Studies.
